Description

Tomato Earlirouge #8024

65 days. Solanum lycopersicum Determinate. Here is a great tomato for those short seasons we sometimes get in the Maritimes. A Canadian bred variety that ripen even if the weather is cool. Another variety we have grown here for years and continues to never let us down.

Certified organic  30+ seeds per packet

Start seeds indoors 6-7 weeks before last frost. Soil temp needs to be between 25-35°C and tomato seedlings must be grown under good lights for 10 to 12 hours a day.  Sow 1/4″ deep in a light soil mix; harden off & plant out 24 – 48″ apart, in rich soil, after all danger of frost is over. Tomatoes benefit from staking.

Cochrane Family Farm is a Certified organic family farm that follows permaculture practices to continually improve the soil. We do not use any chemical sprays or other chemical inputs and grow only hand tended heirloom varieties of vegetables, herbs, and flowers. We do not grow any vegetable or herb hybrids. Because of these practices our seeds are well adapted and vigorous.
