What People Have to Say

Frank and Julie are very knowledgeable and passionate about the food they grow and they pass that on in an entertaining session. I highly recommend any of their workshops.

Our school, Via Vita Academy, was eagerly welcomed by Cochrane Family Farm for a tour and to learn about everything they do on the farm. We were excited for the opportunity to get a hands-on, real life approach to exploring farming options in Nova Scotia, especially to introduce concepts of CSA, organic farming, and seed saving to our students. Cochrane Family Farm blew us away with their knowledge, friendliness and initiatives they were taking for sustainability. Our students were encouraged to ask questions, think critically, get their hands dirty, and take an active role in learning from the visit. It was fantastic! We were overjoyed with the whole experience and will most definitely be back. Our students gained valuable information and have a better appreciation for our food and our Earth. Thank you!!
