We consider ourselves a teaching farm, and to that end, we offer tours, speaking engagements, workshops and apprenticeship opportunities. We have a very well-developed background in program development, facilitation, and delivery. With over 30 years of experience for Frank, 25 years for Lisa and 7 years for Julie. What we offer is quite varied and can be interactive, hands-on, lecture- style and even one on one. We can customize workshops and lectures to fit the needs of the group so as to offer effective and relevant training.

Farm Tours
From spring to fall, we offer tours of our farm, showing how we integrate our herbal business, seed business, and vegetables to offer a diverse selection of products all coming from the farm and complimenting each other in numerous ways. Tours are typically 1 to 2 hours long and outdoor picnic area is available. For more in-depth adventures and for pricing call or email us. This is a great opportunity for schools and groups to get a look at a diverse farm and agribusiness combined.
On-Farm Workshops
This is where some of the most exciting things happen. Here we take you on one of the many educational gardening adventures that we offer. All our on-farm events include delicious snacks, coffee and various teas. We can easily fit groups from up to 30 people in comfort. Small groups, hands on, immersed in the topic and seeing it in actual operation. These workshops will give you the knowledge and the tools for you to build on.

Build your Own Greenhouses/hoop houses
Extend your growing season on both ends. This workshop will show you how we extend our growing season by months and how much you can produce from a small hoophouse/greenhouse. Learn how to construct a family size greenhouse from the ground up. Material choices, site considerations, dos and don’ts, learn how to storm proof and how to overcome pests, humidity, high heat, disease and much more. Material list and plans supplied for cost effective hoop houses that are scalable to the size you need included.
Intro To Medicinal Herbs
Entry level course where you will learn how to identify, grow, wild forage, harvest, dry, store and use medicinal herbs economically. Make your own herbal teas, mother oils, and tinctures. Enjoy an informative tour of our herb gardens and samples of our products.
The key to Successful, High yield harvests
Learn more in-depth gardening techniques on how to have successful, high yields of delicious, nutrient dense produce. This will be a more advanced workshop giving you the skills necessary to make your garden flourish. We will be spending a large portion of this workshop working directly with the plants.
All About Growing Garlic
$30.00 per person
This is going to take you on a whirlwind adventure in garlic. How, when and where to plant. Winter prepping, bed prep, fertilizing, do’s and don’ts, when and how to harvest, curing, selection and lots more. This will up your garlic game and make you the envy of your gardening friends. We also will be looking at various ways to process and use your garlic.
Save your own Seed
This is an intro course for learning how to plan, dry, test and save seed successfully. We will cover roguing, population genetics, control methods, variables, traits and look at different methods for different families of seeds.
