Description
Tomato Amish Paste #8000
75 – 85 days Solanum lycopersicum Indeterminate Old Amish heirloom, absolutely wonderful, one of our very most favorite tomatoes. Vigorous plants produce heaps of large, meaty, bright red fruits from mid-summer to frost. Juicy, great flavor for cooking, canning, or fresh eating. Shapes range from ox-heart to teardrop to almost beefsteak. Not fancy, but a true workhorse. We can’t say enough about this great variety.
Certified organic 30 seeds/pkt
Start seeds indoors 6-7 weeks before last frost. Soil temp needs to be between 25-35°C and tomato seedlings must be grown under good lights for 10 to 12 hours a day. Sow 1/4″ deep in a light soil mix; harden off & plant out 24 – 48″ apart, in rich soil, after all danger of frost is over. Tomatoes benefit from staking.
