Asclepias incarnata A herbaceous perennial that is native to North America. Also known as rose milkweed, rose milkflower, swamp silkweed, or white Indian hemp. Good for monarch butterfly food and habitat plant. The flowers are notoriously generous with nectar, so they attract a host of other butterfly species, as well as bees, hummingbirds, and many other pollinators. 3-4ft tall. We have a well established patch here on the farm that feeds our pollinators and allows us to collect the seeds to be able to offer to our customers. Thrives in wet, clay soil. Germination takes 7 – 10 days, seeds, bury seeds ¼” deep and keep soil damp.
