Lettuce Merlot Cutting #5028
(32 days baby, 60 mature) Lactuca sativa This is a classic. Its intense burgundy color is one of the darkest we know of. This merlot adds much to your baby salad mix, providing incredible color, excitement and full – bodied flavor. Slow to grow and slow to bolt, plants never achieve much size or density, but are ideal for the baby – leaf trade. Not for mature – head production, so may be spaced more closely than other varieties.

Seeds should be sown outdoors as soon as soil can be worked in spring and plant your seeds 1″ apart and 1/4″ deep. Seeds will germinate in 7-14 days.
