Seeds need to be started indoors 6-7 weeks before last frost. Sow 1/4″ deep in a light soil mix; harden off & plant out 24 – 48″ apart, in not too rich a soil, after all danger of frost is over. Ground cherries will benefit from staking.
Cochrane Family Farm is a Certified organic family farm that follows permaculture practices to continually improve the soil. We do not use any chemical sprays or other chemical inputs and only grow hand tended heirloom varieties of vegetables, herbs, and flowers. We do not grow any vegetable or herb hybrids.
