Celeriac Monarch #3001
110 days. Apium graveolens Large roots with firm white flesh. Also known as celery root, knob celery and turnip rooted celery. A root vegetable that fits in to fall and winter cooking easily roasting, adding to soups, stews or any other meal where that celery flavor is desired. You can find many delicious recipes online. Good storage vegetable, easy to grow and very few pests make this a unique vegetable that is satisfying to grow. The longer it stays in the soil in the fall, the more flavorful it becomes.
Start indoors in late winter to mid-spring. Soil temperature: 16-24°C Seeds can take up to 14 to 21 days for germination.
