Beans Golden Rocky #1018

(54 days) Phaseolus vulgaris Heirloom from France, also known as Beurre de Rocquencourt. This yellow bean is noted for its slender juicy pods that melt in your mouth. Germinates well in cool wet conditions. Stands out as vigorous and consistent when many others falter in excessive rainfall and insufficient heat.

Certified organic  55+ seeds/pkt

Planting Depth: 1″ Will germinate in: 7-10 Days. Likes sun or shade Legumes like well-drained soil rich in organic matter and a moderate amount of nutrients. Water lightly at planting, medium at flowering, and heavily throughout harvest time. Avoid overhead watering which can promote disease. Sow directly once soils have reached at least 65F, preferably after the last frost. Make small, successive plantings every 10 days for a continuous harvest. Bush beans will produce all of their fruit over a few weeks, then stop producing. Leave the pods on the plant until they have completely dried. Store dry, shelled beans in an airtight container.

Cochrane Family Farm is a Certified organic family farm that follows permaculture practices to continually improve the soil. We do not use any chemical sprays or other chemical inputs and only grow hand tended heirloom varieties of vegetables, herbs, and flowers. We do not grow any vegetable or herb hybrids. Because of these practices our seeds are well adapted and vigorous.
