Kale White Russian #6515
(35 days baby , 60 – 65 days) Brassica oleracea Relative to Red Russian, very tolerant of wet and cold conditions, very tender and sweet. Grows 24 – 30″ tall and can handle ongoing harvests from the plants. This is one of the main varieties of kale we grow on the farm for our markets store. Good in salads or cooked.
Certified organic 200+ seeds/pkt
Direct sow in early spring to mid-summer for late summer and fall or early harvests. You can also start indoors 4-6 weeks before the last frost, and transplant out as soon as the soil warms up. Optimal soil temperature: 10-30°C. Seeds should germinate in 7-10 days. Plant 1/4″ deep and thin to 14 – 18″ apart.
