Kohlrabi Early Purple Vienna #3018
55 – 70 days Brassica oleracea Delicious cabbage-flavored bulbs. Sweet, white flesh with a purple skin, can be eaten raw or cooked, leaves are also edible when younger, high yields and a great staple crop. Pre 1860 variety.
Certified organic 75+ seeds/packet
Sow seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost. Plant 1/4″ deep. Seeds germinate in 4 -7 days. Transplant outdoors 4 to 6″ apart. Requires regular water and full sun. Sow outdoors as soon as possible in spring. Plant 1/4-1/2″ deep and 2″ apart in rows 24″ apart, they are heavy feeders so lots of organic material will be beneficial, soil temperature should be 18 to 21 degrees Celsius.. Thin to 4-6″ apart. Sow every 2 weeks for continuous harvest. Sun to partial shade.
