Description
Tomato Bonny Best #8019
80 – 85 days. Solanum lycopersicum Indeterminate Medium sized up to 8oz crack resistant, firm and tasty. Heavy yields that grow in clusters. Good for sauces, canning or slicing. Plants grow 4 – 6ft and the tomatoes are quite uniform in size and shape. These do exceptionally well for us and have that true old tomato flavor that is missing from the hybrids on the store shelves. Introduced in 1908
Certified Organic Bonny Best Tomato Seeds 30/pkt
Bonny Best Tomato Seeds need to be started indoors 6-7 weeks before last frost. Sow 1/4″ deep in a light soil mix; harden off & plant out 24 – 48″ apart, in not too rich a soil, after all danger of frost is over. Bonny Best Tomatoes benefit from staking.
Cochrane Family Farm has been family-owned and operated for well over a decade. We are a certified organic farm that follows permaculture practices to continually improve the soil. With 30 acres of river valley farmland in Upper Stewiacke, Nova Scotia, we are able to offer a wide range of products and services and also tend to a unique, bio-diverse, beautiful farm.
There are no chemicals here. Being an organic farm, we don’t use any chemical sprays or other chemical inputs in our farming practices, no pesticides, herbicides, chemical cleaning agents, or growth accelerators.
All of our seeds are heirloom varieties. Every fall, we germinate all the varieties that we grow and work to ensure that they have high viability and also to help maintain and protect some species that are endangered. We do not grow any hybrids. These practices ensure our seeds are well adapted and vigorous.
