Description
Peas, Purple Mist #2703
(80—85 days) Pisum sativum Is a Dutch heirloom that are delicious as snow peas when young or can be harvested when mature as shelling peas or not to mention, wait until dried and harvest as soup peas. Another point to consider is the beautiful flowers and striking purple pods on 4ft to 6ft tall plants. Our 1st year growing these out was 2020 and straightaway we quickly came to love them.
Certified organic 40+ seeds/pkt
Peas thrive in cool weather. Once Soil temperatures reaches 68 degrees, sow seeds outdoors as soon as soil can be worked in spring. Plant seeds 2-3″ apart and 1/2-1″ deep in rows 24″ apart. Seeds will germinate in 7-14 days. Peas need support so trellis, cage, or use mesh or fencing to keep the plants off the ground to avoid disease and pest problems. Plant on each side of support to double yield.
