Leek Bulgarian Giant #2049
(120 days) Allium ampeloprasum var. porrum Long thin leek of wonderful quality. We use a lot of this leek in our Triple Onion Mix. Due to it’s height these leeks typically are cleaner and have a beautiful taste.

Leeks require a long growing season but are very easy to grow, so must be started indoors at least 6 weeks before the last frost. Sow seed 1/8-1/4″ deep in soil-less mix in flats. Soil temperature between 10 – 25 degrees Celsius and seeds take 10 to 16 days to germinate. When seedlings are at least 1/4″diameter, harden off and plant out approx. 6″ apart in fertile, moist soil in sun.
