Beans True Red Cranberry 1020

(00 Days) Phaseolus vulgaris We are excited to offer a favorite of ours. Possibly the most delicious bean we have ever tried in our baked bean recipe. Absolutely beautiful to look at. Not as easy to get to harvest in Nova Scotia as some pole bean varieties due to the long number of days needed to fully mature, but worth every bit of effort.

Certified organic 30+ seeds/packet

Planting Depth: 1" Will germinate in: 7-0 Days. Likes sun or shade Legumes like well-drained soil rich in organic matter and a moderate amount of nutrients. Water lightly at planting, medium at flowering, and heavily throughout harvest time. Avoid overhead watering which can promote disease. Sow directly once soils have reached at least 65F, preferably after the last frost. Make small, successive plantings every 0 days for a continuous harvest. Bush beans will produce all of their fruit over a few weeks, then stop producing. Leave the pods on the plant until they have completely dried. Store dry, shelled beans in an airtight container.

Cochrane Family Farm is a Certified organic family farm that follows permaculture practices to continually improve the soil. We do not use any chemical sprays or other chemical inputs and only grow hand tended heirloom varieties of vegetables, herbs, and flowers. We do not grow any vegetable or herb hybrids. Because of these practices our seeds are well adapted and vigorous.
