Levisticum officinale A very large, long living perennial that can grow over 6ft tall, Strong flavor that is great for soups and stews. Keeps growing well into the fall.

Growing lovage requires soil with a pH of 6.5 and sandy, loamy soils. Determining when to plant lovage is the first step in growing the herb. Direct sow lovage seed indoors five to six weeks before the date of the last frost, must be kept moist. Plant 1/4″ deep and allow 10 to 14 days to germinate. Once germinated it requires lots of light 10 to 14 hrs a day and then plant out into a sunny location
