Rutabaga Laurentian #2015
100 days Brassica napobrassica Old, standard, heirloom swede rutabaga for storage. Large, purple-shouldered, uniform globes with creamy yellow flesh. Great winter keeper. Turnips have the highest calcium content of all root crops. This has been a staple on our farm a long time and we would recommend it to home gardeners and market farmers alike.

Sow outdoors as soon as possible in spring. Plant 1/4-1/2″ deep and 2″ apart in rows 24″ apart, they are heavy feeders so lots of organic material will be beneficial. Germinates in 7-14 days and soil temperature should be 18 to 21 degrees Celsius.. Thin to 4-6″ apart. Sow every 2 weeks for continuous harvest. Sun to partial shade.
